  Introduction: Apigat 2.5mg tablet contains the active ingredient Apixaban. This medicine is used for the treatment and prevention of blood clots in patients suffering from various conditions. Before starting treatment with this medicine, inform your doctor if you have a bleeding disorder, are currently suffering from bleeding or have a blood clot. Also inform your doctor if you have an ulcer; have a liver disorder, immune disorder (that can cause blood clots) or have to undergo surgery. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Apixaban. Uses of Apigat 2.5mg tablet: Apigat 2.5mg tablet is used in adults for: Deep vein thrombosis: To prevent blood clots from forming after knee or hip replacement surgery  To prevent blood clots in the heart from forming in patients with irregular heart beat (atrial fibrillation).
