  What is it? Thrombocytopenia is a condition in which an individual has a low blood platelet count. Platelets (thrombocytes) are colourless blood cells that help blood clot. Platelets stop bleeding by clumping and forming plugs in blood vessel injuries. This condition might occur as a result of a bone marrow disorder such as leukaemia or an immune system problem. It can also be a side effect of taking certain medications. Both children and adults may be affected with thrombocytopenia.  Revolade 25 is a medicine that is used for the treatment of: primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), a disease in which the patient's immune system destroys platelets (components in the blood that help it to clot). Patients with ITP have low platelet counts in the blood (thrombocytopenia) and are at risk of bleeding. When to use this?
