COVIFOR 100MG INJECTION
Introduction:
Covifor 100mg Injection is an approved drug in adult and pediatric patients (12 years of age and older, at least weighing 40 kg) for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) requiring hospitalization. It will only be given to patients who have pneumonia, and need extra oxygen to help them breathe, but who are not on artificial ventilation.
This injection should be administered only in a hospital or healthcare setting capable of providing acute care. Inform your physician if you are taking theophylline, midazolam, chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine or pitavastatin as Covifor Injection (100mg) may affect the way these medicines work. Common side effects include nausea and liver disorders.

- Treatment of COVID-19 in patients above the age of 12 requiring hospitalization.
How Covifor 100mg Injection works:
Covifor 100mg Injection is an inhibitor of the SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), which is vital for viral replication. It stops the virus multiplying in cells and this stops the virus multiplying in the body.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.
More Information:
Store the diluted solution for infusion for not more than 24 hours at room temperature (20-25°C) or 48 hours at refrigerated temperature (2-8°C) before administration.
